Brady boom fuels controversy over Boomer-targeted lofts

Plans for the Davenport Urban Lofts now call for 28 units — including many that will be 1,200 square-feet and sell for less than $450,000. Retail space has been added to the ground floor, but some still worry the upscale development will lead to a culture clash in the Brady District.

When I began at The Frontier in late May, I honestly did not know what to expect: It was less than 30 days after they had announced the company’s launch. When I told my peers where I was working this summer they would reply: “The what?” Or: “With who?”

City signs deal for possible REI site

The sale is contingent on the developer, North Point Property Co. LLC, securing the promised anchor tenant.
Neither city officials nor the developer has named the anchor tenant but it is widely expected to be REI.
