After Pratt was found unresponsive, he was resuscitated and sent to a local hospital where doctors later said the Armor Correctional Health Services employees refused to send them Pratt’s medical records from the jail, according to documents.
“I really don’t want to go anywhere but back to my classroom,” he told The Frontier. “I see myself going back there.”
The Tulsa Run turns 40 this year. The event is scheduled for Oct. 28.
Tulsa County has 262 election precincts. State law requires that at least three precinct workers — a judge, an inspector and a clerk — be assigned to each polling station. When provisional voting officers are assigned to a precinct, the number increases.
Mental health advocates, health providers and law enforcement point to a lack of access to routine care and loss of private beds in Tulsa as the cause of the increase in out-of-town transports.
“TCSO failed to execute their legal duty and obligation and take Mr. Barre into custody even knowing he was off his medication, posed a risk of harm to himself and others, and needed assistance,” stated a letter from the family’s attorney announcing intent to sue.
“I’ve got to get justice for Cobie. I can’t just let this go. I just can’t do it, no matter how bad I want to,” Tyner’s father told The Frontier.
