Jemaine Cannon, 51, is set to die for the 1995 murder of Sharonda White Clark. Cannon will be the second person Oklahoma has put to death this year and the ninth since the state resumed executions in 2021.
Fairchild, convicted in the brutal murder of a 3-year old boy, is the state’s fifth execution of 2022. Almost one-third of U.S. executions this year have taken place in Oklahoma.
Oklahoma has set execution dates for 24 more men by the end of 2024.
