Starting Tuesday, a group of Tulsa city officials left town to head to Dallas on a tour that, in part, will focus on what could be built at 71st Street and Riverside Drive, a parcel of land that for years has been identified as park land.
We’re talking, of course, of REI (Recreational Equipment Inc.)
Frontier staff writer Kevin Canfield has joined Tulsa’s city councilors on the two-day tour, and will see what they see before they vote on Tulsa’s proposed river development regulations (the River Design Overlay) later this year.

While Kevin is in Dallas, he’ll be interviewing key figures involved in the tour. You can follow along on his Twitter account, or just come back to this story periodically, where his video interviews will be posted.
