“I could hear some comotion and multiple ppl,” the dispatcher notes said. “Had an open line with this phone, there were a lot of screaming in the background. & I could hear someone trying to be quiet & crying.”
More than two years after the slayings of four women in a south Tulsa apartment complex, a man held in that alleged crime was charged with assaulting jailhouse employees.
Jail authority members had earlier voted to draw up a request for proposals to operate the jail privately. However one trustee, who initially supported seeking the RFP, said she had a change of mind after hearing that detention officers were leaving their jobs because they were unsure of what the future might hold.
