The nonpartisan mayoral primary is next Tuesday. So let’s examine the major initiatives being bantered about by the two major candidates, Mayor Dewey Bartlett and City Councilor G.T. Bynum.
Bartlett has made a political calculation that it makes good political sense to hitch his wagon to Trump. The presumptive Republican nominee may have finished third in the Oklahoma Republican primary for president, but he received the support of 23,927 Tulsa County voters, many of them from Tulsa.
The Tulsa mayoral primary is June 28. In addition to Mayor Dewey Bartlett and City Councilor G.T. Bynum, the other mayoral candidates are Tom McCay, Paul Tay and Lawrence Kirkpatrick.
