The Frontier is partnering with NonDoc to fact-check a series of political debates in key races ahead of Oklahoma primary elections on June 16. We use public records, interviews and other sources to rate the accuracy of selected claims on local issues for our fact-checking series. Readers can expect to see our stories a few days after a debate, as Frontier reporters and editors double and triple-check the facts. We also need to give political candidates time to respond and provide more information before we rate a statement as false or misleading.

May 18: Attorney General
Republican attorney general candidates Jon Echols and Jeff Starling have agreed to debate at the Will Rogers Theatre in Oklahoma City.

May 28: Governor 
Republican candidates who have achieved at least 12% support in a public poll are eligible for the debate at the Cameron University Theatre in Lawton. According to a February poll, candidates Gentner Drummond, Charles McCall, Mike Mazzei and Chip Keating have reached that threshold.

June 2: State Superintendent
The four top-polling candidates of the seven Republicans in the race will debate at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Norman. GOP candidates include John Cox, William Crozier, Robert Franklin, Toni Hasenbeck, Debra A. Herlihy, Adam Pugh, and James Taylor.

Democratic candidates Craig McVay and Jennettie Marshall will debate at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Norman.
