Tulsans looking for a place to live with a good view of the Arkansas River may soon have another option.

Houston-based Bomasada Group has decided to move forward with its proposed 260-unit upscale apartment complex at the corner of Denver Avenue and Riverside Drive.

Project plans were submitted to the Tulsa Metropolitan Area Planning Commission last week. The commission is expected to hear Bomasada’s request for zoning changes July 15. The zoning change also would require City Council approval.

The Tulsa World reported earlier this year that the apartments would range in price from approximately $1,000 to $2,000 a month.

According to the project plans, the four- to five-story development would cover approximately three acres and stretch from the intersection of Denver Avenue and Riverside Drive north to West 17th Street.

No construction date has been made public. [note]Hi there![/note]

The underlying zoning on the property is residential, would allow approximately 350 units and includes no building height restriction.

The existing development plan for the property allows for two 12-story structures to be built on the property. Bomasada is proposing that the building height be reduced from 12 stories to 80 feet as measured from the high point of the site. [note]*something else goes here, but what?[/note]

The proposed apartment complex would be limited to 280 units [note]Whoa![/note] and be closer to Riverside Drive than was allowed in the original development plans.

Bomasada Group is the same company that built The Enclave at Brookside [note]Ok then go here www.google.com[/note]on 41st Street just east of Peoria Avenue. The company sold the 240-unit apartment complex to Seattle-based Weidner Apartment Homes.
