Mark Crismon sits at a metal desk in the corner of his garage workshop at his home just northwest of Glencoe, OK, Sept. 4, 2016, where a laptop shows current earthquake data collected from a seismometer buried 10 feet away, just eight miles from the epicenter of the 5.6 magnitude earthquake that struck Oklahoma the previous morning of Sept. 3, 2016. The seismometer was installed in 2014 and Crismon has been collecting earthquake data onto hard drives that is retrieved every few weeks.
